In 1997 amendments to the Food Act 1981 allowed businesses to design and implement their own HACCP-based Food Safety Programme (FSP) which would gain them an exemption from the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974.
At Toops we are committed to providing safe food to our customers. We are now implementing a HACCP-based FSP in each of our warehouses.
Any commitment to Food Safety will require complete support through the entire supply chain. We will be asking our suppliers to verify that the FSP used by them meet the legislative requirements of an HACCP-based FCP. Suppliers that meet these requirements will be considered Food Safety Approved Suppliers.
To become Food Safety Approved, each supplier will need to provide evidence to Toops Wholesale Limited that their processes and distribution provide safe food to all Toops warehouse sites.

Toops Flybuys Submission Forms and information:
Before making an application for a new product listing, we recommend that you talk with the appropriate category manager or buyer for the region you wish to supply. Full Foodstuffs category managers contact details can be found by registering on our SRM site, use the link here to access Supplier Information.
If you are looking to export to New Zealand and do not have a local office or agent, we recommend that you first submit details of your product offering and Company credentials by way of general introduction. We will then advise whether we are interested in taking matters further. Note that imported goods must meet all pre-requisites for supply i.e. they must comply with all the relevant New Zealand regulations and trade requirements.
Applications for new products must be submitted on a Universal buying form (UBF) to the relevant category manager. If you wish to supply each of the three Foodstuffs territories, a separate UBF form must be submitted to each of the three companies.
